  • 2018 - Price range: €0.01031 - €0.05878
    In March, RVN climbed to nearly €0.059, but then it started a long decline. In October, the price briefly spiked and then fell back again. The price ended the year around €0.0112, about 81% lower than at the peak. In November, it became possible to issue and transfer tokens and other assets on the Ravencoin network.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.008362 - €0.07139
    RVN dropped to about €0.0084 in early February and then rose quickly. In June, the price climbed to more than €0.071, after which it gradually declined. By the end of December, RVN was around €0.0204, still about 82.3% higher than at the start of the year. In October, Ravencoin switched to the X16Rv2 mining algorithm after specialized mining hardware had gained an advantage.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.007864 - €0.03835
    RVN rose to nearly €0.0384 in the first weeks of the year. In March, the price dropped sharply to about €0.0079 during the turmoil caused by the coronavirus pandemic. RVN then recovered partly, but by the end of the year the price was around €0.0103, about 49.6% lower than at the start. In July, a bug was fixed that had made it possible to create RVN without mining.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.01024 - €0.2355
    RVN started the year around €0.0103 and quickly rose to more than €0.23 in February. After that, the price pulled back, with a bounce in March and April, and ended the year around €0.0867. That was about 742.4% higher than at the start of the year. In May, China announced stricter measures against bitcoin mining and crypto trading, an important development for proof-of-work networks like Ravencoin.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.01649 - €0.122
    RVN rose to about €0.122 in early January, but then fell for most of the year. In May, the collapse of TerraUSD lined up with heavy turmoil in the crypto market. In November, the fall of FTX followed, which again caused broad stress. Ravencoin also cut the miner reward in January from 5,000 to 2,500 RVN per block. By the end of December, the price was around €0.0172, about 80.1% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.01265 - €0.03558
    RVN rose in January and February and climbed to about €0.0356 in February. After that, the price gradually fell to around €0.0127 in October, followed by a recovery. The price ended the year around €0.0204, about 18.5% higher than at the start. In May, the EU adopted the MiCA rules, an important step toward a shared regulatory framework for crypto companies and crypto exchanges in Europe.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.0113 - €0.05818
    After a quiet start, RVN rose quickly in February and March to nearly €0.0582. That was followed by a sharp drop: in August, the price fell to €0.0113. By the end of the year, RVN recovered to about €0.0194, but that was still 66.6% lower than at the peak. In early 2024, the U.S. regulator approved spot bitcoin exchange-traded products, a major step for access to bitcoin through regulated markets. On December 30, the broader MiCA regulatory framework also took effect in the EU.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.00473 - €0.02297
    RVN reached about €0.023 in early January and then fell over the course of the year. In October, the sharp drop lined up with a broader sell-off in the crypto market after a U.S. announcement about extra import tariffs for China. The market move came with large liquidations of leveraged positions. RVN reached about €0.00473 in October and ended the year around €0.00582, about 70.1% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.004137 - €0.007269
    RVN rose to about €0.00727 in January, but then pulled back. In early February, the price reached about €0.00414 and then partially recovered. The quarter ended around €0.00516, about 11.3% lower than where it started. In January, Ravencoin cut the block reward in half for the second time, from 2,500 to 1,250 RVN. That meant fewer new RVN were created and the miner reward went down.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.003122 - €0.005577
    RVN briefly rose to nearly €0.00558 in April and then moved lower. In June, the price fell further and reached about €0.00312. The quarter ended around €0.00324, a drop of about 37.2% from the start. In June, Ravencoin released Core v4.7.0 to fix a bug in asset transfers. However, the update was not activated on mainnet because not enough miners supported the new rules before a newer security update became necessary.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.00174 - €0.003869
    RVN briefly rose to about €0.00387 in early July, but then kept falling. In August, Ravencoin was hit by a serious security incident in which attackers exploited a flaw in mining block validation. Because of that, invalid blocks could be added to the network. Large mining pools then built a new chain from the last safe block, which rolled back several days of blockchain transactions. Ravencoin later released a security update to fix the vulnerability. The price reached about €0.00174 in September and ended the quarter around €0.00208, about 35.6% lower than at the start. Crypto exchanges also announced that they would end trading in RVN.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.001875 - €0.002849
    From October 1 through October 9, RVN moved around €0.0021. On October 5, the price briefly rose to about €0.00285 and then fell back. On October 9, RVN was around €0.00199, about 4.7% lower than on October 1. On October 12, the South Korean crypto exchanges Upbit and Bithumb ended RVN trading because of concerns about the network's security. Upbit Thailand also stopped trading RVN/BTC that day.
