USD Coin Price History


  • 2018 - Price range: €0.8548 - €0.9609
    USDC launched in September as a token on Ethereum. In the price data starting in October, the price first moved around €0.87 and later briefly rose to about €0.96. After that, it fell back and ended the year around €0.88.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.8666 - €0.9574
    USDC started the year around €0.89. The price moved mostly sideways, with a brief spike to about €0.96 in September. Coinbase expanded access to crypto-to-USDC trading to 85 countries in May. USDC ended the year around €0.89, about 0.9% higher than at the start.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.8077 - €0.9691
    USDC started the year around €0.89 and rose to about €0.97 in February. After that, the price gradually declined, hitting a low of €0.81 at the end of December. In 2020, the euro gained value against the dollar, which matters for the euro price of this dollar-pegged token. USDC ended around €0.82, about 8.5% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.8093 - €1.0392
    The price moved gradually higher for most of the year from around €0.82. In November, it briefly spiked to just above €1.03, after which the price fell back and closed around €0.88. In March, Visa announced that it had settled a payment in USDC over Ethereum as part of a pilot. In August, Circle also announced that reserves would from then on be limited to cash and short-term U.S. government bonds.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.8707 - €1.0465
    USDC started the year around €0.88 and moved around that level in the first few months. Later, the euro price rose to above €1.04 before falling back to about €0.93 at the end of the year. The dollar strengthened while the euro came under pressure from the energy crisis in Europe, which is important background for USDC's euro price. The price closed about 6% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.8233 - €0.9984
    In March, USDC briefly fell to about €0.82 after the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank raised concerns about access to part of the reserves. U.S. authorities then announced that depositors would be protected. Circle confirmed that the money would be available, after which the price recovered. Later, it rose to nearly €1, but USDC ended the year around €0.91, about 2.6% lower than at the start.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.8913 - €0.9668
    USDC started the year around €0.91 and fell to about €0.89 in the summer. After that, the price gradually rose and ended the year around €0.97. In July, Circle began issuing USDC under the European MiCA framework after receiving approval as an electronic money institution in France. The price ended about 6.3% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.8389 - €0.9865
    USDC started the year around €0.97 and briefly rose to about €0.99 in early February. After that, a long decline followed, with a low around €0.84 in September. The euro gained value against the dollar earlier in the year, which played a role in the background of USDC's euro price. The price closed around €0.85, about 11.9% lower than at the start of the year.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.8276 - €0.8771
    USDC started the quarter around €0.85. After dropping to about €0.83 at the end of January, the price gradually recovered and rose to nearly €0.88 in March. That same month, native USDC and CCTP became available on EDGE Chain, allowing USDC to be issued there directly and sent between supported networks. The price ended the quarter around €0.86, about 1.5% higher than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.7127 - €0.9262
    USDC started the quarter around €0.86 and then mostly moved around that level. On May 8, the price data used recorded an unusual spike, with prices between about €0.71 and €0.93. The price quickly returned to around €0.85 after that. At the end of June, USDC stood around €0.88.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.8531 - €0.8839
    USDC moved around €0.88 in July, but fell to about €0.85 in August. In September, the price recovered and closed around €0.88. In September, Circle announced it would gradually end support for USDC and CCTP V1 on Noble. Circle also launched Arc, a public network where USDC is used to pay transaction fees.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.8821 - €0.8957
    In the first days of October, USDC moved around €0.89. The price briefly rose to about €0.90 and closed on October 9 around €0.89.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • CCTP V1 Deprecation - Expected in Q4 2026 - Circle will lower the limits for the older CCTP V1 starting October 31 and pause the contracts on December 1. Apps need to switch to CCTP V2 to keep offering supported USDC transfers between blockchains.
  • Samsung Wallet USDC - Expected in Q4 2026 - In the last week of October, USDC functionality is planned for eligible Galaxy users in the United States. They will be able to send USDC to compatible crypto wallets and transfer money to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries, with payout in local currency.
  • Pause of the USDC contract on Noble - Expected in Q1 2027 - Circle is gradually winding down support for USDC and CCTP V1 on Noble. Starting October 13, 2026, no new USDC issuance through Circle Mint on Noble is planned. On January 12, 2027, Circle wants to fully pause the USDC contract and the remaining CCTP routes. Starting January 13, a manual redemption process should become available for eligible holders. Holders are advised to move their USDC to a supported network before the pause.
