Wax Price History


  • 2017 - Price range: €0.3657 - €4.224
    In December, WaxP first climbed to just over €4.22, then dropped sharply. On December 24, the price fell to about €0.37 and then recovered to €0.76 by the end of the month. Wax had finished its token sale in November and made the ERC-20 token usable on OPSkins in December, where users could buy and sell digital items.
  • 2018 - Price range: €0.0322 - €2.400
    WaxP started the year around €0.77 and peaked in early January at about €2.40. After that, the price dropped sharply over the course of the year, with a brief bounce in April, and ended around €0.033. That decline happened in a year when the broader crypto market fell further in November. OPSkins, the trading platform for game items that Wax was tied to, also faced restrictions from Valve on Steam trading.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.01425 - €0.1332
    WaxP started the year around €0.033 and rose to about €0.133 in the spring. After that, the price gradually moved lower and ended the year around €0.0148, about 55.3% lower than at the start. In the summer, the Wax blockchain went live and holders could swap their existing ERC-20 Wax tokens one for one for WaxP on the native network.
  • 2020 - Price range: €0.01440 - €0.08941
    WaxP rose in the first weeks of the year from about €0.0148 to a peak of €0.0894 in February. After that, the price dropped sharply, including during the broad market shock in March, and later partially recovered. WaxP ended the year around €0.0297, about 101.6% higher than at the start. In May, Topps also released the first digital Garbage Pail Kids cards on Wax, giving the partnership a working collectible product.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.02682 - €0.8668
    WaxP started the year around €0.0297 and rose strongly, especially from February onward. After a pullback in the spring, the price climbed again later and reached about €0.87 in November. That was followed by a steep drop; WaxP ended the year around €0.395, still about 1231.6% higher than at the start. In August, Funko launched its first Digital Pop! series on Wax, and Binance added WaxP trading, making the token available through a major crypto exchange.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.03820 - €0.4572
    WaxP started the year around €0.395 and fell sharply over the course of 2022. In May, the collapse of TerraUSD and LUNA caused a major shock in the crypto market. In November, the fall of FTX followed, further hurting confidence in the sector. WaxP ended around €0.039, about 90.1% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.03324 - €0.08690
    WaxP rose in January and reached about €0.0869 in February. After that, the price fell to around €0.033 in September before recovering in the final part of the year and closing around €0.0655. That was about 67.9% higher than at the start of the year. In November, Wax announced a change to its token model: fixed inflation was to make way for funding from usage fees, while the existing DeFi program was phased out.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.02295 - €0.1117
    WaxP started the year around €0.0655 and rose in March to about €0.1117. After that, the price fell for months, reaching about €0.023 in August. By the end of the year, it had recovered to around €0.0392, but WaxP still closed about 40.1% lower than at the start. In February, the PowerUp update to the token model went live: anyone without enough staked network resources paid variable transaction fees in WaxP. In early 2024, U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded products were also approved, an important step for regulated access to bitcoin.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.00597 - €0.05061
    WaxP rose to about €0.0506 in January, but then fell over the course of the year. The decline sped up in the fall, and the price reached about €0.00597 in December. WaxP ended the year around €0.00651, about 83.4% lower than at the start. In February, about $1.5 billion in crypto was stolen from Bybit, a major security shock for the broader crypto market. In June, Wax said that more and more access to network resources was going through PowerUp, while inflation was still positive.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.00488 - €0.00842
    WaxP first climbed toward €0.008 in January, but then fell in the following weeks. On February 6, the price dropped to about €0.00488. After that, it recovered and briefly rose to about €0.00842 in March before WaxP ended the quarter around €0.00546. During the same period, Wax published a migration guide for the new Cloud Wallet. It introduced sign-in with passkeys and an account migration process.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.003216 - €0.006227
    WaxP gradually moved up in April and early May to about €0.00623. After that, the price kept falling, with the quarter's low around €0.00322 on June 25. By the end of June, WaxP had recovered to about €0.00372, but that was still 32.1% lower than at the start of the quarter. In June, OKX Singapore added WaxP trading. Also, on July 1, the final transition period for MiCA in the EU ended, after which providers needed the required license to continue certain services.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.003007 - €0.006380
    WaxP fell in July and reached about €0.00301 on August 19. After that, the price recovered gradually and rose more strongly in September, to about €0.00638. The quarter ended around €0.00554, about 49% higher than where it started. In September, AtomicHub announced AtomicAssets and AtomicMarket v2 for Wax and Vaulta. The plans included customizable fields for NFT templates and automatic royalty splits. AtomicAssets v2 was rolled out later that month.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.004902 - €0.005828
    In the first days of October, WaxP rose to about €0.00583. After that, the price fell and dropped to around €0.00490 on October 8. One day later, WaxP recovered to about €0.00517, still 6.7% lower than on October 1. During the same period, the U.S. CFTC took an initial step toward new rules for trading platforms that offer crypto with leverage or on margin to retail customers. The regulator asked for feedback on the proposed framework; final rules had not yet been set.
