  • 2022 - Price range: €0.01386 - €0.2022
    In February, T was around €0.12. In early March, the price rose to about €0.20, after which a long decline followed. In May, the collapse of TerraUSD and LUNA caused major turmoil in the crypto market. In November, the fall of FTX was added to that. Keep and NuCypher formed Threshold Network together in early 2022; in February, staking and participation in the DAO became available. T ended the year around €0.015, about 92.6% lower than the March peak.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.01452 - €0.05902
    T started the year around €0.015 and quickly rose to about €0.059 in January. After that, the price pulled back and moved for a long time between about €0.02 and €0.04. At the end of January, tBTC v2 went live: users could deposit bitcoin and receive tBTC in return to use in Ethereum DeFi. In July, withdrawals back to bitcoin became possible, and in August, tBTC also became available on Solana. T ended the year at €0.02323, about 54.3% higher than at the start.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.01382 - €0.06
    T started the year around €0.023 and quickly rose to about €0.06 in March. After that, the price dropped sharply and was around €0.014 in early August. In the last few months, T recovered and ended the year at €0.02591, about 11.5% higher than at the start. In early January, the United States approved spot bitcoin investment products. In April, Threshold launched thUSD, a dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by tBTC and ETH. Later that year, tBTC was also added to Aave, a major crypto lending platform.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.00716 - €0.03186
    T rose to about €0.032 in the first days of January, but then gradually fell. After a short rebound in April, the decline continued; in December, the price was around €0.007. T ended the year at €0.00729, about 71.9% lower than at the start. That year, Threshold focused more heavily on tBTC: the organization moved development and growth under Threshold Labs, simplified DAO governance, and put thUSD into maintenance mode. tBTC was also made available on Base, Starknet, and Sui, allowing users to use the Bitcoin token across more DeFi ecosystems.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.005045 - €0.00975
    T rose to about €0.00975 in the first ten days of January. After that, the price fell, hitting a low in early February around €0.005, followed by a limited recovery. By the end of March, T was at €0.0052085, about 28.6% lower than at the start of the quarter. In January, T stakers got a discount on the fees for redeeming tBTC. In March, Threshold launched the Unified Bitcoin Router: users can use it to mint, redeem, bridge, and swap tBTC through one app, with support for multiple networks.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.0026566 - €0.005922
    T started April around €0.0052 and climbed to nearly €0.0059 in the first few days. After that, the price gradually declined. By the end of June, T was at €0.00290765, about 44.2% lower than at the start of the quarter. In April, Threshold reintroduced a fee for minting tBTC after a period when it was free. The project also introduced Verifiable Bitcoin Accounts, a framework that lets institutions keep their bitcoin separate and verifiable and use it as collateral for financial services on the blockchain. In June, Abra switched its bitcoin loans from WBTC to tBTC as its main collateral.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.0027762 - €0.005558
    T started July around €0.0029 and quickly rose to about €0.0056 in the middle of the month. After that, the price fell back to around €0.0028 in August. In September, T recovered and ended the quarter at €0.00489985, about 68.5% higher than at the start. In August, Threshold reported that more than 30,000 tBTC had been minted in total since tBTC launched. That is the cumulative amount ever created, not the amount in circulation at that moment. In September, the project also published the first version of the technical specification for Verifiable Bitcoin Accounts; this described the design, but did not mean any accounts had already been set up or funded.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.004356 - €0.005196
    In the first days of October, T moved around €0.0049 and rose to about €0.0052. After that, it fell back to around €0.0044 and partially recovered to €0.0047097 on October 9. That was about 3.9% lower than on October 1. During the same period, Ledger introduced bitcoin-backed loans through Morpho. Users can use tokenized bitcoin there to borrow stablecoins. That expanded the supply of bitcoin loans within DeFi, a market where tBTC is also used.
