  • 2023 - Price range: €0.08954 - €0.6835
    After Sei’s Mainnet Beta went live in August, the price fell in September and October to around €0.09. That was followed by a strong rebound: in November, the price rose above €0.25 and in December climbed further to €0.6835. The increase from the low point to the end of the year was about 619%.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.18624 - €1.051
    Sei started the year around €0.64 and rose to about €1.05 in March. In early 2024, U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs were approved, a major new way for investors to get exposure to bitcoin. Later in the year, Sei dropped sharply and the price reached about €0.19 in August during a global sell-off in financial markets. After that, it recovered, but Sei ended the year around €0.38, about 40.6% lower than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.06313 - €0.46603
    Sei rose to about €0.47 in early January, but then mostly declined over the rest of the year. In July, native USDC became available on Sei, with support for direct transfers between supported networks. On October 10, a shock around U.S. import tariffs triggered a sharp sell-off in the crypto market; that day, Sei fell to about €0.063. The price then partially recovered and ended the year around €0.094, about 75.3% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.04202 - €0.11609
    Sei rose to about €0.116 in early January, but then gradually kept falling. In January, Sei announced the steps for SIP-3, a transition to a network that only works with Ethereum-compatible applications. In March, the war around Iran played a role in the broader crypto environment. Sei ended the quarter around €0.043, about 54.3% lower than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.0387 - €0.067735
    Sei started April around €0.043 and rose to about €0.068 in May. After that, the price fell and reached about €0.039 in early June before Sei ended the quarter around €0.042. In May, Sei disabled the ability to create new CosmWasm contracts. Existing contracts continued to work for now. This was a step toward a network that only supports Ethereum-compatible applications. In early June, there was also a broader sell-off in the crypto market.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.03303 - €0.076025
    Sei fell in July and August and dropped to about €0.033 in mid-August. After that, the price recovered strongly: by the end of September, it had risen to about €0.076 before Sei ended the quarter around €0.065. In August, the first phase of Eidos went live on Sei as part of a broader upgrade of the network. The rebound in September also lined up with a broader recovery move in the crypto market.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.056765 - €0.067455
    In the first days of October, Sei moved between about €0.057 and €0.067. After a short rebound in early October, the price fell and closed on October 9 around €0.059. During the same period, Sei was working on a mandatory network upgrade that should remove outdated parts of the Cosmos infrastructure. Testnet software was already available for this, but the full change had not yet been rolled out on mainnet.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • Autobahn Mainnet - timing not yet known - Sei wants to activate Autobahn consensus on the live network. This would let transactions be spread and processed in parallel, so the network becomes less dependent on a single step where transactions are ordered. A launch date is not yet known.
