  • 2021 - Price range: €0.2119 - €3.3665
    The price was around €0.90 at the end of April and briefly rose to about €1.85 in May. After that, it fell back and stayed lower for months. Pendle introduced sPendle in January, a new model for staking and rewards that gradually replaced vePendle. In November, there was a strong spike to €3.3665, after which the price dropped quickly and ended the year around €0.21. From that peak, the price was about 93.6% lower by the end of the year.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.0327 - €0.7706
    Pendle started the year around €0.21 and briefly rose to about €0.77 in early January. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a small rebound in the summer. The collapse of Terra and UST caused major turmoil in the crypto market in May. In November, new market stress followed the collapse of FTX. That same month, Pendle launched V2, with a revamped marketplace for trading deposits and future yield, plus vePendle for voting rights and rewards. Pendle ended the year around €0.042, about 80.2% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.0422 - €1.295
    Pendle started the year around €0.043 and rose to about €0.17 in January and February. After more swings, the price climbed sharply from June onward. Binance announced a listing in early July, making Pendle available to more traders. In December, the price rose further to about €1.295 and ended the year around €1.139. That was about 2,579.6% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2024 - Price range: €1.04 - €7.021
    Pendle rose sharply from about €1.14 at the start of the year, with a peak of €7.021 in April. In January, Pendle added its first market for liquid restaking, making returns from this form of staking tradable too. After the peak, the price pulled back, although there was another rebound in May to above €6. In September, Penpie, a separate protocol within the Pendle ecosystem, was hit by a hack. The price ended the year around €4.69, about 311.6% higher than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €1.4026 - €5.4211
    Pendle briefly rose to about €5.42 in early January, but then mostly declined. In February and March, the price mostly moved between about €1.70 and €3.65. Rebounds followed in May and July, but in October the price dropped sharply. That happened during the historic wave of liquidations in the crypto market on October 10 and 11, after rising trade tensions between the US and China. Pendle later fell to €1.4026 in December and ended the year at €1.6004, about 65.9% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.8758 - €2.04
    Pendle rose in January from about €1.60 to a peak of €2.04. After that, the price gradually fell, followed by a sharper drop in early February to €0.8758. In the weeks after that, the price partly recovered and mostly moved around €1. Pendle launched sPendle in January, a new model for staking and rewards that replaced vePendle. The price ended the quarter around €0.963, about 39.8% lower than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.84 - €1.914
    Pendle was around €0.96 at the start of April and first fell to €0.84. After that, the price quickly rose in May to €1.914. In June, it pulled back and ended the quarter around €1.1635, still about 21.2% higher than at the start. During the same period, Pendle expanded its offering with markets for things like tokenized private loans and US Treasury bonds. In June, the protocol also went live on Monad, another blockchain network.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €1.0805 - €2.437
    Pendle mostly moved between about €1.20 and €1.40 in July and the first half of August. From the low of €1.0805 in August, a strong rebound followed. In September, the price climbed further to €2.437 before easing slightly and ending the quarter around €2.1065. In July, Pendle made it possible to automatically set up leveraged positions with principal tokens. In September, the protocol expanded to Robinhood Chain and added markets for returns from tokenized stocks.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €1.7885 - €2.313
    At the start of October, Pendle first rose to €2.313, after which the price fell to €1.7885 and was around €1.889 on October 9. On October 15, Boros, Pendle's product for trading funding rates, launched new markets that let users trade rate differences between Hyperliquid and Gate.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • Curator module - Expected in Q4 2026 - With the Curator module, external curators will soon be able to set up markets for principal tokens and yield tokens for selected assets. The principal tokens can then serve as collateral in their own Morpho or Euler pools. This means new markets will no longer be created only by the internal team.
