  • 2016 - Price range: €0.0662 - €0.4981
    In September, the price climbed to nearly €0.50, but then it dropped quickly. After hitting a low in October, it partially recovered; by the end of December, Neo was around €0.14. In October, the Antshares mainnet also went live, the blockchain that later became Neo Legacy.
  • 2017 - Price range: €0.0818 - €69.67
    Neo started the year around €0.14 and stayed below €1 for the first few months. After that, the price rose sharply, especially in the second half of the year, to nearly €69.67 in December. In 2017, Antshares was renamed Neo and introduced Smart Contracts 2.0. Neo ended the year around €63.29.
  • 2018 - Price range: €4.84 - €160.49
    Neo started the year around €63.48 and briefly rose to nearly €160.49 in January. After that, the price fell sharply throughout the year, hitting a low of around €4.84 in December. The drop happened during the broader crypto market decline after the 2017 bull market. Neo ended the year around €6.56.
  • 2019 - Price range: €5.94 - €18.34
    Neo started the year around €6.57 and mostly moved between €6 and €9 in the first few months. In the spring, the price climbed, and in June it reached nearly €18.34. After that, Neo gradually fell back and ended the year around €7.74. In June, dBFT 2.0 was introduced on the mainnet: an update to the way the network reaches agreement and confirms transactions.
  • 2020 - Price range: €3.783 - €21.91
    Neo started the year around €7.74 and rose to above €15 in February. In March, the price dropped to about €3.78 during the global rush out of risky investments. After that, Neo recovered and the price rose to nearly €21.91 in September before falling back again. Flamingo Finance began its phased launch in September and added new DeFi options on Neo. Neo ended the year around €11.72.
  • 2021 - Price range: €11.61 - €116.33
    Neo rose from about €11.72 in January to nearly €116.33 in May. After that, a sharp pullback followed; by the end of December, the price was around €22.63, about 80.5% lower than the May peak. That month, China announced stricter measures against bitcoin trading and mining. In August, Neo N3 went live as a new blockchain with updated governance and economics. The token migration to N3 opened to all users in September.
  • 2022 - Price range: €5.599 - €26.44
    Neo started the year around €22.63 and rose to about €26.44 in March. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, reaching around €5.60 by the end of December. The collapse of Terra and UST caused heavy stress in the crypto market in May; in November, new turmoil followed after the fall of FTX. Neo ended the year around €5.71, about 74.7% lower than where it started.
  • 2023 - Price range: €5.706 - €15.70
    Neo started the year around €5.71 and gradually rose in the first few months. After a pullback in the summer, the price picked up again in the fall and reached €15.70 in November. In October, Neo announced a sidechain that can work with Ethereum apps, so developers can also build familiar Ethereum applications. The Neo X testnet version followed in December for early testing. Neo ended the year around €12.91, about 125.9% higher than at the start.
  • 2024 - Price range: €6.796 - €24.92
    Neo started the year around €12.91 and declined in the first few months. After a rebound in April, the price kept falling, reaching about €6.80 in August. Then recovery followed: in early December, Neo climbed to nearly €24.92, but later that month the price dropped back to around €13.06. In January, U.S. regulators approved spot bitcoin exchange-traded products. In July, Neo X went live, an Ethereum-compatible environment with a bridge to Neo N3.
  • 2025 - Price range: €2.087 - €16.79
    Neo rose to nearly €16.79 in January, but then dropped sharply. On October 10, the price fell to about €2.09 during a broad sell-off in the crypto market, which came alongside rising trade tensions between the U.S. and China and large-scale liquidations. Neo recovered partly and ended the year around €2.98, but that still left it about 77.2% lower than at the start. In April, Neo announced that Legacy would be phased out and that users and developers would need to migrate to N3.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €2.052 - €3.545
    Neo rose in January from about €2.98 to nearly €3.55. After that, the price fell and reached about €2.05 in February. A limited recovery followed in March; by the end of March, Neo was around €2.33, about 21.9% lower than at the start of the quarter. In January, Neo released a software update with a hotfix for a planned hard fork. Network operators were asked to install the update before the transition on February 3.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €1.625 - €2.907
    Neo started April around €2.31 and rose to about €2.91 during May. After that, the price steadily declined and ended June at around €1.65, about 28.8% lower than at the start of the quarter. In April, Da Hongfei proposed a restructuring of the Neo Foundation, with changes to governance and token management. In May, Chainlink CCIP became available on Neo X, allowing the network to exchange messages with other blockchains.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €1.421 - €2.420
    Neo mostly traded around €1.70 in July, but fell to about €1.42 in August. After that, the price recovered and rose to €2.42 in September. By the end of September, Neo was around €2.24, about 36.1% higher than at the start of the quarter. In July, Neo released an update in preparation for the network's Gorgon upgrade. In August, an update for Neo X followed, adding new options for paying transaction fees and changing how transactions are processed.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €2.009 - €2.450
    In the first days of October, Neo briefly rose to about €2.45. After that, the price fell and came out at around €2.01 on October 8. On October 9, Neo recovered to about €2.14, roughly 4.3% lower than on October 1.
