Moonbeam Price History


  • 2022 - Price range: €0.3073 - €26.34
    On January 11, GLMR climbed to about €26.34, after which the price fell sharply for the rest of the year. That same day, Moonbeam also completed its phased launch on Polkadot, making the network fully operational and able to support smart contracts. In May, the collapse of Terra and UST caused major turmoil in the crypto market. In August, the Nomad bridge was hacked, which affected Moonbeam's DeFi environment. The fall of FTX brought broad market stress again in November. GLMR ended the year around €0.31, about 98.8% lower than the January peak.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.1503 - €0.5977
    GLMR started the year around €0.31 and rose in January to about €0.45. After that, the price gradually declined and reached about €0.15 in September. From that level, it recovered: in December, GLMR climbed to nearly €0.60 before the price pulled back and ended the year around €0.41. Moonbeam introduced OpenGov, which let token holders help decide on network decisions in different ways. Moonbeam Routed Liquidity also went live, a service that made it easier to move tokens between blockchains. From the September low, GLMR rose about 169.8% by the end of the year.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.1197 - €0.6671
    GLMR started January around €0.41 and rose to about €0.67 in March. After that, the price fell, with a sharp drop in April, and sank to about €0.12 in August. That decline came alongside a global sell-off in financial markets, with crypto hit hard as well. In the second half of the year, GLMR partly recovered and closed around €0.24, still about 41.2% lower than at the start of the year. In January, the U.S. SEC approved exchange-traded products for bitcoin, a major change for access to bitcoin through regulated investment products.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.01849 - €0.2693
    GLMR briefly rose to about €0.27 in early January, but then fell for almost the entire year. In May, there was a short recovery toward €0.10; after that, the price kept dropping and reached about €0.0185 in October. That sharp drop came alongside a broad sell-off in the crypto market after new U.S. threats of higher import tariffs on China. GLMR ended the year around €0.0196, about 91.8% lower than at the start of 2025. In January, Moonbeam announced DataHaven, an expansion into decentralized storage for the Ethereum ecosystem.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.008705 - €0.02923
    GLMR briefly rose to about €0.029 in January, but then kept falling. In February, a broad sell-off in the crypto market accelerated, while tech stocks also weakened. By the end of March, GLMR was around €0.0090, about 54.1% lower than at the start of the quarter. During this period, Moonbeam completed the RT4100 upgrades. These made it possible, among other things, to submit new staking delegation requests and lowered the minimum stake needed to participate as a collator.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.0069135 - €0.020828
    GLMR started April around €0.0090 and briefly rose to about €0.0208 in the middle of the month. After that, the price gradually moved lower and ended June around €0.00694, about 23.1% lower than at the start of the quarter. Moonbeam activated upgrade RT4202 in April. It brought improvements to Ethereum compatibility, cross-chain messaging, and how the network works.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.0042885 - €0.0125144
    GLMR briefly rose to about €0.0125 in early July, but then fell back. In September, the price dropped to about €0.0043, after which it recovered to around €0.00836 by the end of the quarter. On July 3, Moonbeam announced a move to Base: GLMR would be converted one-to-one into an ERC-20 token on that network. At the same time, the project announced a new focus on communication and payments between AI agents. In September, Moonbeam published a whitepaper with more details about this new protocol.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.007388 - €0.012742
    At the start of October, GLMR was around €0.00836. After a brief drop to about €0.00739, the price rose to about €0.0127 early that month. After that, it pulled back; on October 9, GLMR was around €0.00950, about 13.6% higher than on October 1.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • Assurance - timing not yet known - Moonbeam plans to launch Assurance, a guarantee program on Base backed by GLMR. Token holders will be able to lock up GLMR behind chosen vendors. Once the program goes live, they may receive part of the guarantee fees, but their deposited tokens can also be used to cover certain claims. Participation is not open yet, and no launch date is known.
