  • 2021 - Price range: €2,7033 - €247,5446
    In May, the price fell to around €2.70 during a broad sell-off across the crypto market. After that, Metis climbed sharply. With the launch of the Andromeda mainnet in November, developers got a live network to build apps on, and Metis became the token for transaction fees. By the end of December, the price was around €192.24, more than 7,011.3% higher than at the May low.
  • 2022 - Price range: €13,6506 - €282,9424
    Metis started the year around €192.28 and rose further in January to about €282.94. After that, the price dropped sharply. The collapse of Terra and UST in May and the fall of FTX in November caused major turmoil in the crypto market. By the end of December, Metis was around €14.99, about 92.2% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €9,627 - €89,42
    Metis started the year around €14.99 and rose to above €30 in January. After that, the price gradually fell to about €9.63 in September. In July, Metis was also hit by the Poly Network hack. An attacker illegally created bridge-issued Metis tokens on BNB Chain and also removed tokens from the bridge on Ethereum. The native Metis supply on Ethereum and Metis remained unchanged. In the final months of the year, the price bounced back strongly and Metis closed around €84.17, about 461.5% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2024 - Price range: €23,29 - €136,61
    Metis started the year around €84.17 and rose to about €136.61 in March. During that period, the first phase of Metis' upgrade for decentralized sequencers went live. It brought multiple sequencers and changing transaction ordering, although they were still managed by the Metis Foundation at the time. After that, the price dropped sharply to around €23.29 in August, followed by a partial recovery. Metis ended the year around €40.81, about 51.5% lower than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €3,625 - €47,764
    Metis started the year around €40.81 and rose to about €47.76 in early January. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a brief rebound in May. On October 10, it dropped sharply during a broad sell-off across the crypto market, with billions of dollars in leveraged positions getting liquidated. Metis then recovered partly and ended the year around €4.26, about 89.6% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €2,3634 - €5,569
    Metis started the quarter around €4.26 and briefly climbed to about €5.57 in January. After that, the price fell, with a sharp drop in early February during a broad sell-off across the crypto market. In March, Metis mostly traded around €2.50 to €3 and ended the quarter at about €2.49. That was about 41.6% lower than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €2,02145 - €5,6436
    Metis started the quarter around €2.47 and made a short, sharp jump to about €5.64 in April. That gain did not last: the price then fell back and was around €2.02 in early June. In the second half of June, a partial recovery followed. Metis ended the quarter around €2.30, about 6.9% lower than at the start. At the same time, outflows from U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs rose to their highest quarterly level since launch, while spot ether ETFs also saw outflows.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €1,93845 - €3,32905
    Metis started the quarter around €2.30 and fell in July and August to about €1.94. After that, the price recovered, with a stronger rise in September to about €3.33. That rebound came alongside a recovery in the broader crypto market, with spot bitcoin and spot ether ETFs attracting money. Metis ended the quarter around €2.95, about 27.9% higher than at the start.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €2,7587 - €3,15315
    In the first days of October, Metis traded around €3. On October 8, the price fell to about €2.76, after which it recovered the next day to around €2.99. Metis introduced Rise on October 7, a program with monthly rewards for new AI agent apps on Andromeda. Participants must show real users, transactions, and network usage.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • LayerZero Labs stops services for Metis Andromeda - Expected in October 2026 - On October 30, LayerZero Labs will stop its standard services for checking and executing messages on Metis Andromeda. Apps that use these services need to adjust their settings or move to avoid interrupted cross-chain transfers. Replacement services support connections to Ethereum, BNB Chain, and GOAT Network, but not all previous destinations. This does not mean that Metis or the entire LayerZero protocol is shutting down.
  • Stargate stops supporting Metis Andromeda - Expected in October 2026 - Support for Stargate V1 and V2 on Metis Andromeda ends on October 23. Liquidity providers need to withdraw their funds before that date. Holders of affected LayerZero V1 tokens must bridge them back. That removes this route for cross-chain transfers; Metis' official Ethereum bridge and the Metis token itself are not affected.
