Lido DAO Price History


  • 2021 - Price range: €0.432 - €16.37
    On January 5, Lido announced the LDO token as the voting token for decisions about the protocol and treasury. The price swung sharply in the first few months and fell to about €0.43 in March. After that, it climbed to €16.37 in November before dropping sharply and ending the year around €2.73. From the March low, LDO rose about 531.1% by the end of the year.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.387 - €4.497
    LDO started the year around €2.73 and rose to about €4.50 in early April. That was followed by a sharp drop. In June, the Celsius crisis showed how hard it could be to quickly free up ETH from positions in stETH while Ethereum withdrawals were still unavailable. After a recovery from about €0.39 in June, the collapse of FTX in November caused broad turmoil in the crypto market. LDO ended the year around €0.89, about 67.4% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.884 - €3.093
    LDO started the year around €0.89 and quickly rose to about €3.09 in January and February. In May, Lido V2 went live: users could now swap their stETH directly for ETH through the protocol. Later in the year, the price mostly moved lower and sideways before rising again in December. LDO closed around €2.40, about 170.9% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.793 - €3.684
    LDO rose to about €3.68 in early January, but then gradually declined. In April, the first validators within Lido's Simple DVT module could accept ETH deposits; this setup lets multiple operators manage validators together. After a further drop to about €0.79 in September, the price recovered in the final months of the year. LDO closed around €1.68, about 30.1% lower than at the start. The jump in early January lined up with the approval of U.S. spot bitcoin ETPs, which made regulated access to bitcoin possible through the stock market.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.236 - €2.334
    LDO rose to about €2.33 in January, but then fell sharply over the course of the year. On January 31, Lido's Community Staking Module became fully accessible: operators could join by depositing the required ETH as collateral. In August, SEC staff gave guidance on certain forms of liquid staking; the statement was non-binding and did not say anything about the legal status of LDO. The price reached about €0.24 in October and then recovered to around €0.49 by the end of the year. That was about 70.9% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.233 - €0.582
    LDO rose to about €0.58 in January, but then dropped sharply and ended up around €0.23 in March. In January, Lido V3 went live publicly on mainnet. With stVaults, users can choose separate validator settings and operational rules, alongside the existing pooled staking setup. In March, Lido Earn added the EarnETH and EarnUSD products, expanding the offering to include strategies in ETH and dollars as well. LDO ended the quarter around €0.28, about 41.9% lower than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.206 - €0.401
    LDO started the quarter around €0.28 and rose to about €0.40 in April. In April, a Kelp bridge was hacked, which affected collateral in an EarnETH lending strategy. Lido's core staking, stETH, and wstETH were not affected, but EarnETH deposits and withdrawals were paused for about 27 days. After activity resumed in May, LDO fell further to about €0.21 in June. The price ended the quarter around €0.21, about 26.1% lower than at the start.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.206 - €0.444
    LDO started July around €0.21 and rose to about €0.36 that month. After a pullback in August, the price recovered further in September and reached about €0.44. In July, Lido released upgrades for the staking modules, including support for validators that can keep adding rewards to their staked ETH. In August, the DAO also introduced NEST, an on-chain mechanism that can use part of the revenue above a set threshold to buy LDO for the treasury. At the time, the mechanism had not yet been activated. LDO ended September around €0.40, about 92.3% higher than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.349 - €0.428
    From October 1 through October 9, LDO first traded around €0.39 to €0.42, then fell to about €0.35 and recovered to around €0.37. On October 7, BitGo made staking through Lido available to eligible customers in the U.S. They can stake ETH, keep the stETH they receive at BitGo, and redeem it through their existing account. Over this period, LDO was about 7.7% lower than on October 1.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • ValMart - Expected in Q2 2027 - Lido plans to launch ValMart on mainnet. This marketplace lets validators compete for ETH stake and allocates that stake based on things like fees, performance, and decentralization. That should improve the protocol's efficiency and the terms for operators.
