  • 2024 - Price range: €2,301 - €7,1451
    Around the launch of the ZRO distribution on June 20, the price was about €2,84. In the days after that, it fell to about €2,30, after which ZRO recovered strongly in the second half of the year. On December 6, the price rose to €7,1451, an increase of 210,5% from the June low. After that, it pulled back; ZRO ended the year at €4,8178. During the distribution, users could claim tokens by making a donation of $0,10 per token to Protocol Guild. That led to debate about the terms.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0,8271 - €5,8482
    ZRO started the year at €4,8178 and rose to €5,8482 in the first week. After that, the price declined over the course of the year, with temporary rebounds along the way. On October 10, ZRO dropped to €0,8271 during a broad crypto sell-off after rising trade tensions between the U.S. and China. Those days also saw record liquidations of leveraged positions in the crypto market. ZRO then recovered and ended the year at €1,0435, still 78,3% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €1,0371 - €2,18045
    ZRO started the quarter at €1,0435 and rose above €2 in January, after which the price fell back again. On February 10, LayerZero introduced Zero, a design for a blockchain that executes and verifies transactions using zero-knowledge proofs. That same day, Tether announced a strategic investment in LayerZero Labs. The price reached €2,18045 on February 11 and ended the quarter at €1,6261, 55,8% higher than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0,64405 - €1,8222
    ZRO started April at €1,6309 and soon after rose to €1,8222. After that, the price steadily declined. In April, an attack on KelpDAO's LayerZero-based rsETH bridge resulted in the theft of about 116.500 rsETH, worth around $292 million. The attackers exploited a problem in the infrastructure used to verify messages between blockchains. That allowed the bridge to be tricked into releasing tokens. Kelp said on May 25 that rsETH coverage had been restored. By the end of June, ZRO was at €0,71945, 55,9% lower than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0,6134 - €1,66075
    ZRO started July around €0,72 and later that month fell to €0,6134. In August, LayerZero introduced ATLAS, a trading and settlement system for trading platforms that is set to run on Zero. The company also announced new fees for Stargate transfers and the Executor; part of Stargate's revenue was set aside for ZRO buybacks. In September, the price rose sharply and reached €1,66075. ZRO ended the quarter at €1,535, 113,4% higher than at the start.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €1,4387 - €2,0386
    At the start of October, ZRO was at €1,5361. The price rose to €2,0386 in the first week and then fell back to €1,7844 on October 9. That day, crypto exchange KuCoin announced that it would automatically convert customers' STG tokens to ZRO. Trading in STG was set to stop on October 10; the announcement did not mean the conversion had already been completed.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • ATLAS - Expected in 2026 - LayerZero expects to launch ATLAS later in 2026. The system is meant to help trading platforms connect buy and sell orders, settle transactions, and manage risk on Zero. It is intended as infrastructure for trading platforms, not as a consumer exchange.
  • Console - Expected in 2026 - LayerZero expects to launch Console later in 2026. This platform lets companies manage, secure, and track digital assets across multiple chains from one place. That means issuers do not have to handle their work separately for each chain.
  • STG-to-ZRO conversion deadline - Expected in December 2026 - The option to convert STG to ZRO remains available until December 15. After that, holders will no longer be able to use the project route for this conversion. This is the deadline for the remaining STG holders to switch to ZRO.
