  • 2024 - Price range: €1,203 - €4,5095
    IO started in June at around €3,97, after which the price fell further in July and early August to €1,203. After that, IO recovered strongly: in December, the price rose to €4,5095, before dropping back to €2,8133 in the last weeks of the year. The rebound in November came alongside a broader crypto rally after the U.S. election. In August, io.net also introduced staking for compute providers, who had to lock up IO to qualify for rewards.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0,0915 - €3,9414
    IO started the year around €2,81 and climbed to €3,9414 in the first few days. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a sharp drop in February and March. On October 10, IO fell to €0,0915 during a broad crypto sell-off. That wave of selling followed an escalation in trade tensions between the U.S. and China and led to large-scale liquidations. IO ended the year at €0,1296, about 95,4% lower than at the start of the year.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0,07595 - €0,165
    IO started the quarter at €0,1296 and briefly rose to €0,165 in January. After that, the price kept falling, hitting a low of €0,07595 in early February. In the weeks that followed, a partial recovery took place, and by the end of March IO stood at €0,09292, about 28,3% lower than at the start of the quarter. The decline happened during a broader sell-off in the crypto market, with liquidations of leveraged positions adding to the losses.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0,08156 - €0,194325
    IO started April at €0,09258 and first fell to €0,08156. After that, the price picked up, and May brought a strong rise to €0,194325. In June, IO fell back again, and the quarter ended at €0,14468, still about 56,3% higher than at the start. In June, io.net launched the Incentive Dynamic Engine. With this, compute providers receive rewards that are aimed at a fixed dollar amount. Of the revenue left after these payouts, at least half is used to buy back and burn IO tokens. This ties rewards and the token supply more closely to the network's actual usage and revenue.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0,09335 - €0,161635
    IO started July around €0,1447 and rose to €0,161635 in the first few days. After that, the price gradually fell to €0,09335 in August. In September, a recovery followed and IO ended at €0,144125, almost unchanged from the start of the quarter. During the same period, the maximum transition period under MiCA ended on July 1. Providers without the required license were then no longer allowed to offer crypto services to customers in the EU under the transitional arrangement.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0,12523 - €0,163035
    In the first few days of October, IO rose from €0,144125 to €0,163035. After that, the price dropped back and stood at €0,12523 on October 8. On October 9, IO recovered slightly to €0,132105. During the same period, the U.S. regulator CFTC published an initial announcement about possible rules for crypto transactions and trading platforms. This was a consultation, not implemented regulation.
