  • 2022 - Price range: €0.0912 - €3.91
    GMT became available in March and rose sharply in a short time: after the price was around €0.09, it climbed to about €3.91 by the end of April. After that, it dropped sharply. By the end of December, the price was around €0.21. The collapse of Terra and UST, and later the collapse of FTX, caused broad turmoil in the crypto market that year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.1306 - €0.6246
    GMT rose quickly in January from about €0.21 to a peak around €0.62. After that, the price gradually fell and reached about €0.13 in October. In the final months, GMT recovered and ended the year around €0.32, about 50.7% higher than at the start. In March, the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank caused concern around USDC after it became known that part of the reserves were held at the bank.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.07744 - €0.4127
    GMT started the year around €0.32 and rose to about €0.41 in March. After that, the price fell, with a low around €0.077 in August. In the final months, GMT recovered to about €0.15, but that still left it 54.4% lower than where it started the year. In January, Gas Hero, a new game from FSL alongside STEPN, launched and expanded the GMT world with a strategy game.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.008454 - €0.1635
    GMT started the year around €0.15 and still rose to about €0.16 in early January. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a sharp drop in February and a low around €0.0085 in October. GMT ended the year around €0.0129, about 91.3% lower than at the start. On October 10, threats of extra U.S. import tariffs triggered a broad sell-off in the crypto market and about $19 billion in forced liquidations.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.008079 - €0.0207
    GMT rose in early January from about €0.0129 to nearly €0.021. After that, the price fell in steps and mostly moved around €0.009 to €0.010 in March. By the end of March, GMT was around €0.0084, 34.5% lower than at the start of the quarter. On January 1, STEPN started halving GMT rewards for movement again, which meant less GMT was issued as rewards.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.006097 - €0.01307
    GMT started April around €0.0085 and rose in the following weeks to about €0.010. In May, there was a short spike to around €0.013, after which the price fell again. By the end of June, GMT was around €0.0064, about 24.6% lower than at the start of the quarter. In April, GMT became tradable on OKJ in Japan; in June, STEPN tested a new feature where participants paid GMT for temporary movement challenges.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.005017 - €0.008074
    GMT fell in July and August to about €0.0050. After that, the price gradually recovered and rose to around €0.0081 by the end of September, before GMT closed the quarter around €0.0076. That was about 18.6% higher than at the start of the quarter. In July, FSL launched Challenge Capsules for all users, a feature where participants complete movement challenges and can earn tickets to join reward campaigns with GMT, among other prizes.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.006713 - €0.008578
    Through October 9, GMT first rose to about €0.0086, after which the price fell to around €0.0067 and then recovered to about €0.0077. That was 1.2% higher than on October 1. On October 5, the CFTC opened a consultation on oversight of certain crypto transactions for retail investors; this was the start of a regulatory process, not final new rules.
