  • 2020 - Price range: €0,0001234 - €0,002257
    Gala appeared on crypto exchanges in September. The price rose that month to about €0,00226, but then dropped sharply. On December 28, the price was around €0,000123, and by the end of the year it was around €0,00118, after a strong rebound in the last few days.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0,0007741 - €0,7457
    Gala started the year around €0,00118 and rose sharply over the course of the year. In September, trading on Binance became possible and Town Star opened early access to a version where players could earn rewards. In November, the price quickly climbed to about €0,75, after which it pulled back. Gala ended the year around €0,397, about 33.535,3% higher than at the start.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0,01456 - €0,4083
    Gala started the year around €0,397, but fell early on and briefly recovered in February to above €0,34. In May, the price dropped further during the broad market stress after the collapse of Terra and UST. In November, there was more turmoil around the pGala bridge on BNB Chain and the collapse of FTX. By the end of December, Gala was around €0,0155, about 96,1% lower than at the start of the year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0,0119 - €0,05739
    Gala rose quickly in January from about €0,0155 to nearly €0,0574. After that, the price gradually fell and reached about €0,0119 in October before recovering. In May, Gala switched to an updated Ethereum token contract. At the same time, the project burned about 20,9 billion Gala from its own holdings to reduce the total token supply. By the end of December, the price was around €0,0276, about 77,4% higher than at the start of the year.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0,01258 - €0,07949
    Gala rose sharply in the first quarter and climbed to about €0,0795 in March. After that, the price fell, hitting a low around €0,0126 in August, followed by a recovery toward €0,0331 at the end of the year. In May, an attacker was able to mint five billion Gala through a stolen key. Some of it was sold, but Gala blocked the remaining tokens. The proceeds from the sale were later returned and used for token buybacks and burns.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0,002272 - €0,0432
    Gala climbed to about €0,0432 in early January, but then mostly fell. On October 10, the price dropped sharply to around €0,00227 during a broad crypto sell-off after rising trade tensions between the U.S. and China. After that, Gala partially recovered and ended the year around €0,00497, still about 85% lower than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0,00233 - €0,007117
    Gala rose in the first half of January from about €0,00497 to €0,00712. After that, the price fell for almost the rest of the quarter and stood at around €0,00251 at the end of March, about 49,5% lower than at the start. In March, the game Shrapnel appeared in Steam Early Access while the game's digital assets were moved from Avalanche to GalaChain.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0,001918 - €0,003869
    Gala started April around €0,00250 and rose in May to nearly €0,00387. After that, the price steadily declined and ended June around €0,00195, about 21,8% lower than at the start of the quarter. In April, node operators approved a new issuance model for Gala. Its rollout was mentioned as the next step.

    Gala started July around €0,00196 and briefly rose to about €0,00227. The price then fell and reached about €0,001135 in August. After that, it recovered; by the end of September, Gala was around €0,00204. On August 18, a security flaw on GalaChain led to unauthorized transfers from nine wallets, including the movement of about two billion Gala. Gala paused the bridge and rolled out a security update that same morning.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0,00185 - €0,002454
    Through October 9, Gala first rose from about €0,00204 to €0,00245, after which the price pulled back. On October 8, it was around €0,00185; a day later, Gala closed around €0,00198, about 3,4% lower than on October 1. In October, Gala announced that users will eventually only be able to log in with a Web3 wallet. The transition is still ongoing; no end date has been announced yet.

  • End of email login - timing not yet known - Gala wants to replace email and password with login using a Web3 wallet. Existing tokens, NFTs, node licenses, and game progress will remain linked to accounts. Email login will stay available for now; Gala has not announced a date for when it will stop.
