Curve Dao Price History


  • 2020 - Price range: €0.2795 - €51.20
    After the CRV token launched in August, the price moved around a lot. During the first trading days, CRV briefly hit an exceptional peak of about €51.20, after which it quickly dropped to around €2.28 by the end of August. In October, CRV fell further to €0.28, then recovered to about €0.51 by the end of the year. The token gave holders voting rights and made it possible to influence rewards for liquidity providers.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.4382 - €5.698
    CRV started the year around €0.51 and rose to above €2 in January. After a pullback in the spring, the price kept climbing and reached about €5.70 in November. The rise happened in a fast-growing DeFi sector: Convex Finance launched in May and later became a major player in the fight for influence over CRV rewards. In December, CRV pulled back and ended the year around €4.70, about 814.8% higher than at the start.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.3985 - €5.966
    CRV started the year around €4.70 and reached about €5.97 in early January. After that, the price fell, with extra heavy losses in May when TerraUSD lost its peg to the dollar and the Terra ecosystem collapsed. Those problems also affected the liquidity of Curve pools with UST. In November, the collapse of FTX caused broad turmoil in the crypto market. Around that same time, a large CRV loan on Aave led to a loss for the lending platform. CRV ended the year around €0.49, about 89.6% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.3606 - €1.210
    CRV rose sharply in January and reached about €1.21 in February. After that, the price gradually declined, hitting a low of around €0.36 in September, before recovering to about €0.55 by the end of the year. In May, Curve opened the public interface for crvUSD, a stablecoin that borrowers could issue with collateral. In July, some Curve pools were hit by a bug in older versions of the Vyper compiler; not all pools were vulnerable. The price ended the year about 12.3% higher than at the start.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.1645 - €1.266
    CRV started the year around €0.55 and rose to about €0.78 in March. After that, the price kept falling, down to around €0.16 in August. In June, Curve founder Michael Egorov's CRV-backed loans were liquidated on several lending platforms. Later in the year, CRV recovered strongly and reached about €1.27 in December before falling back to around €0.86. Over the full year, CRV rose about 56.8%.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.2827 - €1.080
    CRV started the year around €0.86 and rose to about €1.08 in early January. After that, the price dropped in steps, with a short rebound in April and May, before the decline continued later in the year. On October 10, an announcement about extra U.S. import tariffs on Chinese goods triggered a broad crypto sell-off and a lot of liquidations. CRV was around €0.31 at the end of December, about 64.6% lower than at the start of the year.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.1723 - €0.3947
    CRV first rose to about €0.39 in January, but then dropped quickly. In early February, the price fell to around €0.17 and then saw a limited recovery. In February, market turbulence put pressure on Curve's lending markets. Curve then adjusted the rewards and policy around crvUSD and made an emergency buffer of 400,000 crvUSD available. CRV ended the quarter around €0.19, about 38.3% lower than at the start.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.1478 - €0.2490
    CRV mostly traded around €0.18 to €0.20 in April and rose to about €0.25 in May. After that, the price fell and reached about €0.15 in June, followed by a small recovery. In June, Curve launched Llamalend V2 on Optimism. With this version, lending markets could also use other types of collateral and lending assets, without crvUSD being required. In May, an attack on StakeDAO led to protective measures for a Curve lending market on Arbitrum. Curve's own smart contracts were not affected. CRV ended the quarter around €0.16, about 14.2% lower than at the start.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.1588 - €0.3661
    CRV started July around €0.16 and mostly moved between about €0.17 and €0.20 that month. In August, the price moved up, and in September it climbed further to about €0.37. During this period, Curve expanded Llamalend V2 to Ethereum, allowing users there to take out loans with, among other things, interest-bearing tokens as collateral. On August 13, the annual amount of new CRV under the fixed emission schedule fell below 100 million tokens. CRV ended September around €0.35, about 115.7% higher than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.2920 - €0.3561
    At the start of October, CRV was around €0.35. The price first moved down, briefly recovered, and on October 8 swung sharply between about €0.29 and €0.36. On October 9, CRV was around €0.32, about 8.6% lower than on October 1. A few days later, on October 15, the first Llamalend V2 lending market with LP tokens as collateral was activated. That allowed liquidity providers to borrow using their pool position as collateral, without first withdrawing their liquidity.
