  • 2021 - Price range: €1.60 - €53.15
    Convex Finance launched its platform in May. This let users route their Curve positions through Convex for higher rewards, without having to lock up CRV themselves for a long time. CVX rose quickly in the summer: from about €1.60 in July, the price climbed to €53.15 in December. After that peak, the price pulled back and ended the year around €43.03.
  • 2022 - Price range: €2.97 - €55.12
    CVX started January around €43.07 and briefly climbed to €55.12 that month. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a sharp drop in May and June. That decline happened during the collapse of Terra and UST and the resulting turmoil in the crypto market. In November, the fall of FTX caused broad market stress again. CVX ended the year around €2.99, about 93.1% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €2.04 - €6.59
    CVX rose in January and reached about €6.59 in early February. After that, the price gradually declined, hitting a low around €2.04 in October before recovering. In July, several Curve pools were hit by a vulnerability in older versions of the Vyper compiler. This mattered for Convex because Curve pools make up an important part of the liquidity behind the platform. CVX ended the year around €3.03, almost the same as at the start of January.
  • 2024 - Price range: €1.31 - €7.73
    CVX started January around €3.03 and mostly moved between about €2.50 and €4.60 in the first few months. In April and over the summer, the price fell further, to about €1.31 in early November. Then a strong rebound followed: in early December, CVX climbed to €7.73 before the price dropped back again. The price action took place in a year when U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs were approved, giving investors access to bitcoin through regulated exchange-traded products. CVX ended the year around €4.33, about 43.2% higher than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €1.31 - €6.16
    CVX started January around €4.33 and briefly moved higher that month, but fell back in February and March. In the spring, the price recovered and in July it rose to €6.16. After that, a long decline followed, with CVX reaching around €1.31 in December and ending the year at €1.37. The broader context for the stablecoin ecosystem changed in July, when the United States passed the GENIUS Act. This law set rules for issuers of payment stablecoins, including requirements for reserves and disclosure.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €1.20 - €2.58
    CVX started January around €1.37 and later that month rose to €2.58. In February, the price fell to about €1.20, after which a mixed recovery followed. The rise lined up with developments in the broader Curve ecosystem, including the expansion of Llamalend V2 on Ethereum. These markets make it possible to borrow against different types of collateral, with separate limits and risk rules for each market. CVX ended March around €1.55, about 13.1% higher than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.70 - €1.78
    CVX started April around €1.55 and mostly stayed near that level that month. In May, the price rose to €1.78, but then a sharp drop followed. In early June, CVX fell to about €0.70 and then recovered to €0.93 by the end of the quarter. That pullback lined up with new stress in the crypto market: bitcoin saw its sharpest weekly drop since the fall of FTX in early June.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.91 - €2.16
    CVX started July around €0.93 and climbed to €2.16 over the course of August. In September, the price mostly moved between about €1.60 and €2.12. The rise happened as Curve expanded its Llamalend V2 markets on Ethereum. These markets make it possible to borrow against different types of collateral, with separate limits and risk rules for each market. CVX ended September around €1.91, about 105.5% higher than at the start of the quarter.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €1.75 - €2.14
    Through October 9, CVX first rose to €2.14 in early October and then pulled back. On October 8, the price came in around €1.75, after which it recovered to €1.83 the next day. During the same period, the CFTC asked for feedback on possible federal rules for crypto transactions and trading platforms, including leveraged or margin trading. No final new rules had been set yet.
