  • 2021 - Price range: €0.6322 - €5.458
    At the end of July, C98 was around €0.63. In August, the price quickly rose to about €5.46, an increase of 763.4% from that low point. After that, the price gradually fell back and ended the year around €2.10. C98 was officially listed on a crypto exchange for the first time on July 23. In December, Coin98 Staking was added, allowing holders to lock up their tokens to earn rewards.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.1425 - €2.564
    C98 started the year around €2.10 and climbed to about €2.56 in early January. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a brief bounce in May. The collapse of Terra and UST caused major turmoil in the crypto and DeFi market at that time. In November, new market stress followed the collapse of FTX. C98 ended the year around €0.15, about 93% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.1146 - €0.3455
    C98 rose in January and February from about €0.15 to a peak around €0.35. After that, the price fell back to about €0.11 in June. In the second half of the year, C98 recovered and ended around €0.24, about 62.1% higher than at the start of the year. In November, Coin98 Finance changed its name to Ninety Eight. Coin98 remained the wallet brand within the broader ecosystem.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.08275 - €0.4284
    C98 rose from about €0.24 at the start of the year to around €0.43 in March. After that, a long decline followed, with a low point around €0.083 in August. The price recovered in the final months and ended the year around €0.16. In early January, the U.S. SEC approved spot bitcoin exchange-traded products, an important step that made bitcoin accessible to more investors through regulated markets.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.013071 - €0.1895
    C98 started the year around €0.16 and rose to about €0.19 in early January. After that, the price dropped sharply. On October 10, it fell to about €0.013 and ended the year around €0.019, about 88.6% lower than at the start. The drop in October came alongside broad turmoil in the crypto market after the escalation of the trade conflict between the United States and China. That year, Coin98 also launched Perps in its Super Wallet, allowing users to trade perpetual futures.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.01309 - €0.03396
    C98 first moved around €0.02 in January and fell to about €0.013 near the end of that month. In early February, a strong rebound followed to about €0.034, after which the price pulled back. By the end of March, C98 was around €0.0218, about 16.6% higher than at the start of the quarter. In January, Coin98 added limit orders and new markets to Perps, including gold, silver, and stock products.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.009052 - €0.02265
    C98 started April around €0.0218, but fell almost continuously over the course of the quarter. In May, there was a brief bounce to around €0.020, after which the price kept sliding. By the end of June, C98 was around €0.0106, about 51.4% lower than at the start of the quarter. In April, Coin98 introduced Private Mode, which lets users hide certain data in transactions and swaps through Houdini Swap.

    C98 first moved around €0.011 in July and later that month fell to about €0.0096. In August, a quick rebound followed to above €0.014, after which the price pulled back again. In September, C98 rose once more and reached about €0.0163. The quarter ended around €0.0143, 35.2% higher than it started. In July, the transition period for the European MiCA rules ended, meaning providers without the required license could no longer rely on that transitional arrangement.

    At the start of October, C98 was around €0.0143. The price rose to about €0.0181 on October 6, but then fell back to around €0.0135. On October 9, C98 was back around €0.0142.
