  • 2017 - Price range: €0.1164 - €1.4029
    Starting in July, CVC rose from about €0.12 to over €0.63 in August, after which the price fell back. In December, the price climbed sharply again and reached about €1.40. By the end of the month, CVC had nearly been cut in half and ended the year around €0.72. In June, Civic raised $33 million through a token sale for its identity verification network.
  • 2018 - Price range: €0.0413 - €1.1699
    CVC started the year around €0.72 and briefly rose to about €1.17 in early January. After that, the price fell for almost the entire year, with a short rebound in April. In December, CVC dropped to about €0.04 and ended the year around that level, about 93.8% lower than at the start. That drop lined up with the broad downturn in the crypto market and a pullback in investment in blockchain companies.
  • 2019 - Price range: €0.0156 - €0.0901
    CVC started the year around €0.044 and rose to about €0.090 in March. After that, the price gradually fell, with a few short rebounds. In December, CVC dropped to about €0.016 and ended the year around €0.016, about 63.1% lower than at the start. In June, the international organization FATF set stricter rules for crypto exchanges and other crypto service providers, including checks on customers and transactions. That made identity checks more clearly relevant for the sector where Civic operates.

    In March, CVC fell to about €0.01 during the broad sell-off in financial markets. After that, the price recovered gradually and rose sharply in November to about €0.136. In December, there was a pullback; CVC ended the year around €0.069, still about 324.8% higher than at the start. In June, Civic launched its Civic Wallet for phones, with digital identity verification and features for storing and sending crypto. In November, CVC also became available on Coinbase's consumer platforms.
  • 2021 - Price range: €0.0657 - €0.8073
    CVC rose quickly in early February and kept climbing through the spring. After moving between about €0.30 and €0.50, it hit a sharp peak of about €0.81 in early September. After that, the price fell back and ended the year around €0.29, about 64.2% lower than the peak. In September, Civic and Solrise launched an exchange on Solana where digital identity verification limited access to trading. That showed a real-world use of Civic's technology in decentralized financial services.
  • 2022 - Price range: €0.0664 - €0.3797
    CVC briefly rose to about €0.38 in early January, but then dropped sharply. The collapse of Terra and UST led to heavy losses and turmoil in the crypto and DeFi market in May. In November, the fall of FTX caused another wave of market stress. CVC ended the year around €0.071, about 75.5% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.0601 - €0.1988
    CVC started the year around €0.071 and then mostly moved between about €0.08 and €0.12 for months. In August, a U.S. appeals court ruled that the rejection of Grayscale's application for a spot bitcoin investment product had to be reviewed again. That removed an important hurdle for such products, but it did not approve an ETF. In September, CVC dropped to about €0.060; after that, the price rose quickly and reached about €0.199 in November. By the end of the year, the price had fallen back to around €0.097.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.064 - €0.3199
    CVC started the year around €0.097 and rose quickly to about €0.32 in March. After that, the price fell, with a low around €0.064 in August. In the final months, CVC recovered and ended the year around €0.205, about 112.3% higher than at the start. In January, the U.S. securities regulator SEC approved several spot bitcoin investment products, giving investors access to bitcoin through the regulated securities market. In November, Civic introduced Civic Auth, a login system that lets apps also support existing or built-in crypto wallets.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.0324 - €0.2408
    CVC started the year around €0.205, but then mostly declined. After a short rebound in May to above €0.14, the price kept falling and stood around €0.032 in December. CVC ended the year around €0.036, about 82.4% lower than at the start. In July, Civic gradually shut down the services of Civic Pass, including identity verification and checks for unique users. After that, the project focused more on Civic Auth and tools for AI. In September, Civic launched Civic Nexus, a product that lets companies manage access to data and software and carry out workflows through a chat window.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.0224 - €0.0558
    CVC briefly rose to about €0.056 in early January, but then gradually fell. In early February, it dropped sharply to about €0.022. After that, the price partially recovered and ended the quarter around €0.025, about 30.6% lower than at the start. That move took place during a broad sell-off in the crypto market, while uncertainty around U.S. crypto legislation continued.

This happened during a week of turmoil in the crypto market around tensions with Iran. On October 8, the U.S. president said the United States would not attack Iran before the midterm elections; after that, crypto assets broadly bounced back.
