  • 2022 - Price range: €0,0000005744 - €0,000002367
    BTT reached about €0,00000237 in January, but then fell over the course of the year. In May, TerraUSD lost its peg to the dollar and LUNA collapsed, which caused major turmoil in the crypto market. The collapse of FTX in November also led to broad market stress. BTT ended the year around €0,0000005816, about 75.4% lower than the January peak. During the same period, exchanges migrated to the new BTT units after a change in which one old token was converted into 1,000 new BTT tokens.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0,00000034 - €0,00000148
    BTT started the year around €0,0000005819 and gradually fell further in the summer. In October, the price was around €0,00000034, after which a strong rebound followed: in December, it rose to €0,00000148. The price ended the year around €0,00000109, about 87.3% higher than at the start. In March, the U.S. SEC sued the BitTorrent Foundation, among others, with allegations related to the sale of BTT tokens; the case brought immediate regulatory risks for the organizations involved.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0,0000005878 - €0,000002
    BTT started January around €0,00000109 and rose to about €0,000002 in early March. After that, the price pulled back and reached about €0,0000005878 in August. By the end of the year, BTT recovered to around €0,000001025, almost the same level as at the start. In June, BTFS v3.0 Heisenberg went live, including improved file encryption; at the same time, daily storage rewards were lowered to 7.5 billion BTT.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0,0000003251 - €0,0000012941
    BTT briefly rose to about €0,0000012941 in early January, but then dropped sharply. After a temporary rebound in the spring, the price fell further and ended the year around €0,0000003286, about 67.9% lower than at the start. In June, BTTC 2.0 went live, an upgrade to the existing cross-chain infrastructure and the staking and governance model. In October, a broad sell-off hit the crypto market, with more than $19 billion in leveraged positions liquidated.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0,0000002562 - €0,0000004302
    BTT rose to about €0,0000004302 in early January, but then declined. In early February, the price fell to about €0,0000002562 and then partially recovered to €0,0000002753 by the end of March. That was about 16.2% lower than at the start of the quarter. In February, the broader crypto market came under pressure from a sharp sell-off and liquidations of bitcoin positions. In March, the SEC claims against the BitTorrent Foundation were finally dismissed. The case ended with a settlement in which the involved company Rainberry paid a $10 million fine.

    BTT started April around €0,0000002746 and rose in May to about €0,0000002964. After that, the price fell further and reached about €0,000000223925 at the end of June. BTT ended the quarter around €0,000000231895, about 15.6% lower than at the start. In June, BitTorrent announced the phased shutdown of the official BTTC Bridge. According to the announcement, the blockchain itself remained active, including block production and staking.

    BTT mostly traded in July around €0,00000023 to €0,00000025 and fell in August to about €0,00000021407. That was followed by a recovery: in September, the price rose to about €0,000000416525. BTT ended the quarter around €0,00000035581, about 53.4% higher than at the start. In July, BitTorrent announced that it wanted to use all revenue from its decentralized services for periodic buybacks and burns of BTT tokens. The first burn was reported in October, outside this quarter.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0,000000316895 - €0,000000371735
    Through October 9, BTT fell from about €0,00000035581 to €0,000000316895, after which the price partially recovered to around €0,000000332645. That was about 6.5% lower than on October 1. On October 16, BitTorrent reported that the first periodic buyback of BTT tokens using revenue from decentralized services had been completed and that the tokens had been sent to an address to be burned. That development took place after the price observations included here.
