Bitcoin Cash Price History


  • 2017 - Price range: €170.74 - €3,666.66
    Bitcoin Cash launched on August 1 after a split from the Bitcoin chain. The price swung sharply in the first few months and rose from about €171 in August to nearly €3,667 in December. Around the same time, Coinbase made BCH available to customers. After the peak, the price fell back and ended the year at about €2,110.
  • 2018 - Price range: €66.39 - €2,553.34
    BCH started the year around €2,112 and climbed to about €2,553 in January. After that, a long decline followed. In November, the network split again, this time into Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV. By the end of December, the price was around €66 and then recovered to about €131. Over the full year, BCH fell about 93.8%.
  • 2019 - Price range: €94.54 - €458.52
    BCH first dropped to about €94.54 at the start of 2019. After that, the price rose to nearly €459 in June, before some of those gains faded in the second half of the year. In May, Bitcoin Cash rolled out the Great Wall upgrade, which introduced, among other things, more compact digital signatures for transactions. BCH ended the year around €182, about 38.9% higher than at the start.
  • 2020 - Price range: €124.50 - €454.88
    BCH rose sharply in the first weeks of the year and climbed to nearly €455 in February. In March, the price fell back to about €124.50 during the turmoil in financial markets. After that, BCH recovered gradually and ended the year around €281, about 54% higher than at the start. In November, the network split again: most users stayed with BCH, while a smaller group formed Bitcoin Cash ABC.
  • 2021 - Price range: €274.94 - €1,346.30
    BCH rose sharply in the spring and reached about €1,346 in May. After that came a steep drop, and the price later in the year often hovered around €400. PayPal launched Checkout with Crypto in March, which let U.S. customers use BCH to pay for purchases at participating stores. The broad crypto sell-off and the unwinding of leveraged positions lined up with the sharp swings in April and May. BCH ended the year around €379.
  • 2022 - Price range: €88.15 - €397.14
    BCH started the year around €379 and then mostly declined. The collapse of TerraUSD in May and the fall of FTX in November caused heavy turmoil in the crypto market. In November, BCH dropped to about €88. The price then recovered slightly and ended the year around €90, about 76.1% lower than at the start.
  • 2023 - Price range: €89.10 - €298.66
    BCH started the year around €90 and moved mostly gradually higher in the first few months. In June, the price first fell to about €89, then quickly climbed to nearly €299. In May, the CashTokens upgrade added support for fungible and non-fungible tokens and applications on the network. BCH also became part of the offering at crypto exchange EDX Markets, which was backed by major financial firms. BCH ended the year around €236, about 160.6% higher than at the start.
  • 2024 - Price range: €199.44 - €663.01
    BCH dropped to about €199 in early January and then rose sharply. In April, the price climbed to about €663. At the start of that year, the U.S. regulator approved several spot bitcoin ETPs, a new way for investors to get bitcoin exposure through the stock market. BCH did not return to its spring level later on and ended the year around €419. That was about 77.6% higher than at the start.
  • 2025 - Price range: €226.43 - €552.67
    BCH fell in the spring and stood around €226 in early April. After that, the price recovered and rose to about €553 in September. The announcement of U.S. import tariffs in April came alongside turmoil in financial markets and pressure on crypto. In May, a Bitcoin Cash upgrade expanded the possibilities for calculations in transactions and applications. BCH ended the year around €510, about 21.6% higher than at the start.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €359.9025 - €572.399
    BCH rose to about €572 in early January, but then gradually declined. In February, the price fell to about €359.90 and then recovered to around €403 by the end of March. The decline came alongside a broad sell-off in the crypto market and forced liquidations of leveraged positions. Over the quarter, BCH fell about 20.9%.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €159.24 - €416.23045
    BCH started April around €402 and rose to about €416 in early May. After that, the price dropped quickly, hitting a low of around €159 in June. By the end of the quarter, BCH was around €175, about 56.5% lower than at the start. In May, a network upgrade was also activated that gave applications more options, such as repeatable operations and reusable code. In June, CME launched futures on a crypto index that includes BCH; these contracts offer exposure to a basket of crypto assets, not just BCH.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €171.756 - €320.7165
    BCH started July around €175 and swung sharply that month, ending July around €182. In August, the price mostly moved around €180 at first, then climbed. In September, BCH rose quickly to about €321. That month, CME announced plans for its own futures on Bitcoin Cash. The announcement came alongside the price increase. BCH ended the quarter around €270, about 54.4% higher than at the start.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €239.895 - €287.0595
    BCH rose from about €270 to nearly €287 in early October. After that, the price dropped sharply and stood around €239.90 on October 8. On October 9, BCH recovered slightly to about €245. The pullback came alongside declines across the broader crypto market, amid higher oil prices, tensions in the Middle East, and weakness in U.S. tech stocks.

  • CME Bitcoin Cash futures launch - Expected in October 2026 - CME plans to launch Bitcoin Cash and Micro Bitcoin Cash futures on October 19, subject to regulatory approval. The contracts represent 250 BCH and 25 BCH, respectively. That would add regulated investment products that let firms manage their exposure to BCH.
