  • 2022 - Price range: €0.3743 - €1.184
    The price data for this year runs from late September through December. On September 27, AXL became publicly available; during that period, the price reached about €1.18. After that, it fell, hitting a low of around €0.37 in December. By the end of the year, the price recovered to about €0.48. The FTX collapse in November caused broad turmoil across the crypto market; from the September peak, AXL was about 59.7% lower by the end of December.
  • 2023 - Price range: €0.2946 - €1.188
    AXL started the year around €0.48 and mostly moved between about €0.40 and €0.70 in the first few months. After that, the price gradually slipped, reaching around €0.29 in October. In the final months of the year, it rebounded strongly: AXL climbed to about €1.19 in December and ended around €1.08, about 127% higher than at the start of the year. In May, Axelar General Message Passing also started working between Cosmos apps and supported EVM blockchains, allowing apps across those networks to communicate with each other.
  • 2024 - Price range: €0.3536 - €2.516
    AXL started January around €1.08 and quickly rose to about €2.52 in February. After that, the price fell in stages, hitting a low of around €0.35 in early August. In the months that followed, AXL partially recovered and ended the year around €0.62, about 42.4% lower than at the start. In February, Axelar's Interchain Token Service became publicly available on mainnet. This allowed issuers to manage tokens across multiple blockchains. At the start of 2024, U.S. spot bitcoin investment products were also approved, making bitcoin more accessible through regular investment accounts.
  • 2025 - Price range: €0.05661 - €0.7454
    AXL started the year around €0.62 and briefly rose to about €0.75 in early January. After that, the price declined, with a few temporary rebounds, to around €0.06 at the end of December. The price ended the year about 90.6% lower than at the start. In February, Axelar rolled out the Cobalt upgrade: 98% of network fees in AXL were burned from then on, and new connections got a different reward model. In June, the connection between the XRP Ledger and the new XRPL EVM Sidechain also went live.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €0.03868 - €0.09054
    AXL started the quarter around €0.0585 and rose in January to about €0.0905. After that, the price mostly kept falling in February and March, down to around €0.0387 by the end of March. The price ended the quarter at about €0.0409, roughly 30.1% lower than at the start. In early February, crypto prices fell broadly as risk appetite weakened in financial markets. In February, Stellar and Hedera also became available through Axelar for cross-chain transfers and messaging between blockchains.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €0.03319 - €0.07774
    AXL started April around €0.0408 and quickly rose in April and early May to about €0.0777. After that, the price fell back and stood around €0.0352 at the end of June, about 54.8% lower than the quarter's peak. In April, KelpDAO's cross-chain bridge, which used LayerZero, was hit by an attack in which about 292 million dollars' worth of rsETH was stolen. In June, Axelar went live with its own interface for transferring assets and a Solana integration. Later in June, the connection between Axelar and Secret Network was shut down after a vulnerability in a bridge contract was abused. About 4.67 million dollars was stolen in the process. Axelar's core protocol was not affected.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €0.02974 - €0.05086
    AXL started July around €0.0352 and fell to about €0.0297 in August. After that, the price recovered and rose to about €0.0509 by the end of September, before AXL closed the quarter around €0.0451. That is about 28.1% higher than at the start of the quarter. On July 1, the maximum transition period under MiCA ended for existing crypto service providers in the EU. After that, they could no longer rely on the transitional arrangement and needed a MiCA license to continue certain services.
  • Q4 2026 - Price range: €0.04236 - €0.04998
    In the first days of October, AXL rose from about €0.0451 to nearly €0.050. After that, the price briefly dropped to around €0.0424 and then recovered to about €0.0466 on October 9. That was about 3.5% higher than on October 1.
