  • 2020 - Price range: €22.62 - €81.04
    In 2020, AAVE was around €22.62 and climbed to about €81.04 by December. At the end of December, the price was around €61.34, during the first trading phase, which lined up with the LEND→AAVE migration and the rollout of Aave V2. These events brought more attention and use to the protocol, but they did not prove a direct cause for the December spike.
  • 2021 - Price range: €56.04 - €542.22
    AAVE started the year around €61.34 and surged to a peak of about €542.22 in May. By the end of 2021, the price was around €233.47, which works out to a yearly gain of about 280.6% compared with the starting value. The rise lined up with broad DeFi growth, multi-chain deployments like Polygon, and higher TVL, factors that supported demand for the token without there being a single proven causal link to the price peak.
  • 2022 - Price range: €46.45 - €254.93
    After the end of 2021, AAVE dropped: the price fell to about €46.45 in July and ended 2022 around €50.96, more than 78.2% lower than at the start of 2022. This decline happened during broad market turmoil, including the Terra/UST collapse and later the bankruptcies of major lending players, events that hurt DeFi activity and confidence and were therefore relevant to AAVE's weaker year.
  • 2023 - Price range: €44.45 - €108.68
    In 2023, AAVE recovered gradually: the price rose from about €50.96 at the start of 2023 to about €91.03 at the end of December, a yearly increase of about 78.6%. A low around €44.45 came in the middle of the year; the recovery was supported by a cautious return of activity in DeFi and improved risk measures within the protocol.
  • 2024 - Price range: €65.73 - €379.98
    AAVE had a strong year in 2024: after starting around €91, the price climbed to about €379.98 and ended the year around €303.46, an increase of about 233.5% compared with the start of the year. The broad crypto rally after spot BTC ETF approvals and the expansion of Aave V3 deployments and cross-chain risk work helped support greater demand for the token in the background.
  • 2025 - Price range: €81.006 - €374.37
    2025 was volatile: AAVE opened around €303.64, reached a high of about €374.37, and fell to a low of about €81.01 in October. By the end of 2025, the price was around €147.93, which means a drop of about 51.3% from the start of the year, followed by a recovery of more than 82.6% from the October low. Regulatory news and shifting institutional flows were important background factors for these swings.
  • Q1 2026 - Price range: €78.43 - €154.81
    AAVE started Q1 around €133.32 and fell back to a low of about €78.43 in February. By the end of March, the price was around €83.00, which means a drop of about 37.7% from the quarter open. This quarter included market reactions and liquidity rotations after late-2025 rallies, plus routine governance adjustments to risk parameters that served as background for the higher volatility.
  • Q2 2026 - Price range: €50.206 - €100.823
    Q2 opened around €83.03 and rose in April to about €100.82, but fell in early June to around €50.21. By the end of June, the price recovered to about €80.41, a rise of about 60.2% from the June low. The moves within the quarter lined up with rapid cross-chain liquidity shifts and changes in institutional custody practices that fueled volatility in lending tokens.
  • Q3 2026 - Price range: €72.672 - €124.126
    From around €80.41 at the start of July, AAVE rose to about €124.13 in August and was around €121.06 on the latest available date, a gain of about 50.6% since the start of the quarter. This rebound lined up with improved risk appetite and increased protocol activity in July and August, including higher borrow and deposit metrics that supported demand for the token.

Upcoming Technical Updates


  • Phased public rollout of the Aave App - Expected in 2026 - Aave Labs wants to make the Aave App available to users on the existing waitlist in phases. The first phases will consist of limited groups, after which the iOS app should become generally available in supported countries once operational stability is sufficient. The Android version is planned for Q3 2026.
  • Proposed rollout of Aave v3.7 on Monad - Timing not yet confirmed - Within Aave Governance, there is a proposal to activate Aave v3.7 on Monad with conservative risk parameters and a package of incentives. The proposal also includes GHO support and preparation of GHO lanes via Chainlink CCIP. The implementation still requires further governance and execution steps.
  • Proposed rollout of Aave V4 on Arc - Timing not yet confirmed - Aave Labs has proposed activating Aave V4 around the public mainnet launch of Circle's Arc. The proposed setup consists of one Liquidity Hub and two Spokes, with initial support for USDC, EURC, WETH, and cirBTC. The implementation still requires further risk analysis, governance approval, and the launch of Arc mainnet.
