What Is Definitive (EDGE)?

Definitive is an on-chain trading platform built for active traders, professional users, and funds. It’s designed for fast execution and works across multiple blockchains. Users can trade crypto across different blockchains through a non-custodial app and an API, which means they keep control of their own Wallet.

The goal of Definitive is to process orders as smoothly and quickly as possible. It focuses on professional trading, with an emphasis on lower slippage and lower costs. The native EDGE token is part of the platform and plays a role in the rewards model.

How Does Definitive (EDGE) Work?

Definitive works through an on-chain trade execution terminal and an API. Together, they let orders be executed across multiple chains. Orders go through on-chain DEXs and aggregators. A DEX is a decentralized exchange, and an aggregator looks for the best route for a transaction.

The app is non-custodial, so users keep control of their private keys and their Wallet. Transaction execution and settlement still happen on the blockchain. That way, users stay in control of their crypto while the platform helps with trading.

Definitive uses trade routing and other efficiency improvements to lower slippage and transaction costs. The platform works with different on-chain liquidity sources. The app supports multiple chains, including Base, other major EVM chains, and Solana. That lets users move and trade assets across chains.

EDGE is an ERC-20 token on Base. The token uses the security and consensus mechanism of Base, so transfers are validated by that network's validators. EDGE is a utility token.
